Rajasthan Operation Nets Rs 40 Crore in Drugs and Weapons

Jaipur, Dec 16 (NationPress) A major operation conducted by the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) has led to the discovery of a drug manufacturing facility located at a farmhouse in Devaldi village of Pratapgarh district, Rajasthan. According to officials, this operation culminated in the confiscation of drugs valued at Rs 40 crore.

In addition to the drugs, various drug production equipment, machinery, and MDMA chemical precursors were also seized.

In a separate operation targeting a fugitive, the AGTF team recovered a pistol, a magazine, and three live cartridges from another farmhouse in the vicinity.

The AGTF conducted simultaneous raids at two farmhouses within the jurisdiction of Arnod police station in Pratapgarh district.

The initial raid uncovered an operational MDMA manufacturing facility, yielding around 12 kg of MDMA and additional narcotic substances.

During a different search for a wanted criminal, illegal firearms were seized from another farmhouse.

The Additional Director General of Police (AGTF), Dinesh MN, indicated that the operation was triggered by intelligence reports highlighting extensive MD drug production near the Rajasthan-Madhya Pradesh border.

The drug network is believed to supply MDMA to Rajasthan, Haryana, and Punjab, with Devaldi village being recognized as a pivotal hub.

The investigation intensified after the Gujarat ATS recently confiscated drugs worth Rs 1,800 crore in Bhopal, which were linked back to Devaldi. The main suspect in the Gujarat ATS case is also from Devaldi.

Under the direction of DIG Yogesh Yadav and the oversight of Additional SPs Asharam Chaudhary and Siddhant Sharma, intelligence was gathered over a two-month period by Head Constable Mahavir Singh and Constable Narendra Patidar.

Specific information indicated that Yakub, Jamshed, and Shaheel—residents of Devaldi and relatives of Shoaib, the primary accused in the Gujarat ATS case who is currently on the run—were operating an illicit MDMA production facility at the farmhouse.

During the raid, the suspects managed to escape; however, the items retrieved included 11.45 kg of liquid MDMA in its final production stage, stored in a 20-litre container, 14.77 kg of liquid chemicals for drug synthesis, 900 grams of chemical components and production equipment, along with motorcycles and other miscellaneous items.

In a different raid, the team searched another farmhouse for Shahrukh a.k.a. Tony, a notorious drug smuggler with a bounty of Rs 25,000 on his head.

Although no suspects were apprehended, a country-made pistol, three live cartridges, and an unregistered motorcycle were seized.
