Three Arrested in Rajasthan with Drugs Worth Rs 12 Lakh

Udaipur, Dec 25 (NationPress) In a significant crackdown leading up to New Year festivities, the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) along with Sukher police station in Udaipur have detained three individuals and seized a total of 103.71 grams of MDMA from them, which is estimated to be worth Rs 12 lakh in the international market.

The suspects reportedly mortgaged their motorcycle to finance the purchase of the drugs, which they intended to sell.

Following a tip-off from the AGTF, law enforcement officials apprehended the three suspects and recovered three mobile phones.

The Additional Director General of Police for AGTF, Dinesh M.N., stated that this operation was conducted under the supervision of Deputy Inspector General of Police Yogesh Yadav and Additional Police Superintendent Asha Ram Chaudhary.

AGTF teams have been deployed across various cities to capture gangsters, wanted criminals, and smugglers.

On Tuesday, during routine intelligence operations, AGTF teams received credible information regarding three young men possessing a significant quantity of drugs in the Sukher area.

The Sukher police were immediately notified, and a team intercepted three suspicious individuals on Bhairav Gadh Road.

Upon noticing the police, the suspects attempted to escape but were swiftly apprehended.

Upon interrogation, the suspects were identified as — Aadil Chhipa (22), a private employee from Delhi Gate, Chittorgarh; Sameer Chhipa (22), a teacher from Chhipa Mohalla Aayd, Udaipur; and Abbu Faijan (22), a resident of Ganesh Nagar, Udaipur.

A police search revealed 39.92 grams of MDMA from Aadil, 33.74 grams from Sameer, and 30.05 grams from Abbu Faijan.

The trio confessed to having mortgaged a relative's bullet bike to a local contact, Lucky alias Chhota Farhan from Mukherjee Chowk, to fund the drug purchase, which they planned to distribute.

The confiscated MDMA and mobile phones have been documented as evidence, and a case has been filed under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

The suspects are currently under interrogation to uncover their network and any potential links to other criminal activities.

This operation, led by Station House Officer Himanshu Singh and his team from Sukher police station, with contributions from AGTF personnel, has been recognized as a commendable effort in battling narcotics-related activities in the region.

Meanwhile, the search for both the supplier and the buyer of the drugs continues, as per officials.
