Jaipur, April 11 (NationPress) In a major development as part of the Rajasthan government’s initiative for a “Drug-Free Rajasthan” and the ongoing battle against drugs, the Pali Police apprehended three alleged smugglers and confiscated 74.13 grams of the prohibited synthetic substance MD on Saturday.

This operation was executed following specific technical intelligence provided by the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) based in Jaipur.

Pali Superintendent of Police, Monika Sen, revealed that during the early hours of Saturday, using information from ASI Rakesh Jakhar of the AGTF, a coordinated raid was conducted by teams from Siriyari and Marwar Junction police stations in Bithoda Kalan village.

The squad, led by the Siriyari SHO, encircled the home of a primary suspect, Sher Khan. The raid was carried out following appropriate legal protocols.

During the operation, three suspects were taken into custody from a rooftop room of the residence, where 74.13 grams of MD was discovered concealed beneath a sofa.

The authorities also seized various tools used for the production and packaging of the narcotic, including electronic scales, empty pouches, and mobile devices.

To ensure transparency during the operation, the process was documented through videography and photography utilizing the ‘E-Sakshya’ digital evidence application.

During initial questioning, the suspects admitted to acquiring the drugs from two suppliers, Laxman Wadi and Motisingh Rajput, who both reside in Bithoda Kalan.

Police teams have been dispatched to locate and arrest these suppliers. A case has been filed against the suspects under the pertinent sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

Following the directive of the Superintendent of Police, the investigation has been handed over to Sojat City SHO, Devendra Singh, who will explore the supply chain's backward and forward connections to dismantle the network.
