Jaipur, June 12 (NationPress) Reports indicate that eleven individuals from Rajasthan were among the passengers aboard the devastating plane crash that took place near the Ahmedabad airport in Gujarat on Thursday.
The victims hailed from six different families across various districts in the state - five from Banswara, four from Udaipur, and one each from Balotra and Bikaner.
Onboard the ill-fated flight were Koni Vyas from Banswara, her husband Pradeep Joshi, and their three children - Pradyut, Miraya, and Nakul. This family was reportedly traveling to London.
Koni had resigned from her position at Pacific Hospital in Udaipur's Umarda about a month prior as she intended to move abroad with her husband.
Another passenger, Khushboo from Balotra, whose husband works as a doctor in London, was also on the flight. She departed for Ahmedabad on Wednesday night accompanied by her father, Madan Rajpurohit.
Tragically, Rajpurohit had just reached near Mehsana in Gujarat when he received the devastating news about the crash.
Khushboo had just tied the knot in January 2025.
Two siblings, Shubh and Shagun, children of Udaipur-based marble businessman Sanjeev Modi, were also passengers on the flight. Both MBA graduates, they were managing the family business and were traveling to London for a visit.
Upon learning about the crash, relatives and neighbors gathered at Sanjeev Modi's residence, prompting him to leave immediately for Ahmedabad.
Abhinav Parihar, grandson of former Sridungargarh MLA Kishna Ram Nai and son of Shiv Parihar, was also among the passengers. Abhinav ran a business in London.
Vardichand Menaria, who originally hails from Rundera village near Udaipur and resides in Hiranmagri, was also onboard. His wife and son Deepak accompanied him to Ahmedabad and remain there.
Having returned from London a month prior, Vardichand was traveling with Prakash Menaria from Rohida village near Inatali, both of whom worked as cooks in London and were on the same flight.
