In this context, Rajasthan's Chief Electoral Officer Naveen Mahajan recently traveled to Uttarakhand to partake in an orientation program linked to the forthcoming SIR initiative.
Upon his arrival, he was welcomed at the office of Uttarakhand's Chief Electoral Officer B.V.R.C. Purushottam.
The two officials engaged in comprehensive discussions regarding the effective execution of the Special Summary Revision campaign.
Senior representatives from the Uttarakhand Election Department were also present, including Additional Chief Electoral Officer Vijay Kumar Jogdande, Joint Chief Electoral Officer Prakash Chandra, Deputy Chief Electoral Officer Kishan Singh Negi, and Assistant Chief Electoral Officer Mastu Das.
The conversation centered on methodologies, technological advancements, and administrative frameworks adopted by Rajasthan to guarantee precision and efficiency in the formulation of electoral rolls.
The Rajasthan delegation accompanying Mahajan comprised Joint Chief Electoral Officer (IT) M.A. Tiwari and Assistant Chief Electoral Officer Narendra Meena.
Previously, teams from the election offices of Odisha and Maharashtra had also visited Rajasthan to analyze the implementation of the SIR process within the state.
The visiting teams commended the system for being streamlined, technologically sophisticated, and highly focused on the electorate.
They noted that Rajasthan’s strategy for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of electoral rolls could serve as a benchmark for other states.
During the occasion, Mahajan remarked that the encouraging feedback from various states was a positive sign for the Rajasthan Election Department.
He emphasized that such acknowledgment fuels the department's motivation to further enhance the electoral framework through cutting-edge technology and transparent operations.
According to him, the initiatives launched during the Special Summary Revision of Electoral Rolls–2026 are progressively being recognized as a national standard.
