Patna, July 2 (NationPress) Rinku Devi, the spouse of RJD MLA Ritlal Yadav, who is currently incarcerated in Bhagalpur Jail, approached Bihar Assembly Speaker Nand Kishore Yadav and lodged a formal complaint alleging inhumane treatment and a plot to assassinate her husband.
During her meeting with the Speaker at his official residence on Strand Road in Patna, she asserted that despite being an elected representative, her husband is confined in solitary confinement and is enduring mental and physical torment, with medical care being denied.
She further claimed that there is an ongoing conspiracy to eliminate him during his transfers from jail to court.
"Police officials are conspiring to take his life while transporting him to court. If I disclose the name of the officer involved, they will also harm me and my children," Rinku Devi expressed to the Speaker.
Additionally, she alleged that around 300 police personnel stormed her residence at midnight, climbing over the walls to intimidate her, even though numerous male relatives are already in judicial custody.
It is significant to note that Ritlal Yadav, the MLA from Danapur, had recently initiated a hunger strike in Bhagalpur Camp Jail.
On Monday evening, medical professionals at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College and Hospital convinced him to conclude his fast and provided him with light nourishment after his blood pressure and sugar levels fell alarmingly.
