Patna, Jan 17 (NationPress) The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has resolved to escalate its political campaign against the Bihar government, declaring a statewide protest both within and outside the Assembly.
A strategic meeting of the party, led by Leader of the Opposition Tejashwi Yadav, took place in Patna on Saturday, where a comprehensive plan was devised to challenge the NDA government regarding what the party describes as detrimental policies for the people.
During this meeting, it was emphasized that the RJD will no longer depend solely on press releases or media statements.
Party MLAs and senior officials have been instructed to engage with the public on pressing issues and rally support in every village across the state.
As per party insiders, the RJD has adopted a dual approach.
While it will vigorously address public concerns during the upcoming budget session of the Bihar Assembly, the party will concurrently initiate street demonstrations to exert pressure on the government.
The leaders believe that the NDA administration has faltered on all major fronts, thus it is the opposition's duty to voice public discontent.
After the meeting, former minister and RJD MLA Alok Mehta declared that the party has unanimously committed to a significant struggle over urgent public matters.
He mentioned that in-depth discussions were conducted on fortifying the organization and highlighting the government's failures.
“Every RJD member will now take to the streets to protest against the government’s policies,” Mehta affirmed.
RJD National General Secretary and MLA Ranvijay Sahu launched a fierce critique of the state government, accusing it of a total breakdown of law and order throughout Bihar.
Pointing to Patna, he noted that women and girls are increasingly unsafe even in the state capital.
In a sarcastic tone, Sahu commented that Bihar is currently governed by “God’s mercy,” and the forthcoming RJD movement will showcase the true situation to the government.
This meeting is seen as politically significant considering the current state conditions and upcoming electoral challenges.
With corruption, unemployment, and declining law and order at the forefront, the RJD has conveyed a strong message: it has transitioned from a passive stance to a full-scale offensive.
