The RSS was established on the auspicious day of Dussehra, a century ago in 1925, by K.B. Hedgewar in Nagpur.
“Heartfelt congratulations to the RSS for achieving this historic milestone in their remarkable journey committed to Bharat, Bharatwasis, and the promising future ahead,” he shared in a post on X.
Minister Puri commended the Sangh for its 100 years of service while honoring its steadfast spirit in promoting national interests.
On his social media account, he remarked, “The sapling planted by the thinker-philosopher Dr. K.B. Hedgewar Ji in 1925, nurtured by the wisdom of Guruji M.S. Golwalkar Ji and Sh. Balasaheb Deoras Ji, has blossomed into a philosophical Banyan Tree, with branches stretching across nationalist consciousness while its roots remain firmly planted.”
Puri emphasized that this centenary marks the celebration of an idea born from an unwavering resolve to uphold and propagate the rich heritage of Indian civilization, culture, and traditions.
“We honor the historic centenary of the RSS, an organization whose endeavors are intricately linked to the ongoing development of Bharat,” he affirmed.
He highlighted the relentless dedication of countless Swayamsevaks who have devoted their lives to this vision over the past century, unified by the motto – 'Nation First'.
“This ideology has nourished every facet of our nation, flowing through all areas of society like a mighty river. Through its many affiliated organizations, the Sangh operates in every aspect of life. Despite their diverse missions, they all embody a singular spirit and commitment – 'Nation First',” he elaborated.
The Union Minister also praised the RSS's contributions to nation-building, noting that since its inception, the Sangh has pursued the path of character development, emphasizing 'Vyakti nirmaan se rashtra nirmaan' (nation-building through character-building) – a principle that encapsulates its patriotic and nationalistic values.
