Jaipur, Nov 26 (NationPress) Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma expressed on Wednesday that it is a great loss for the nation that, despite the significant contributions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, he has been largely overlooked and his importance has been intentionally downplayed in the narrative of independent India.
While speaking at the Unity @150 Yamuna Pravah Yatra event at the Amar Jawan Jyoti, the Chief Minister remarked that Sardar Patel has not received the honor he rightfully earned, while only one family's contributions have been excessively celebrated.
He highlighted that the Iron Man of India was instrumental in shaping the nation, showcasing his visionary mindset, unwavering resolve, and courageous decisions.
Sharma encouraged the youth to draw inspiration from Sardar Patel's life, prioritize the “nation first” ideology, and actively participate in the creation of a strong, united, and prosperous India. In his remarks on Constitution Day, he acknowledged Bhimrao Ambedkar for providing the world’s most extensive constitution, which remains a pillar for India’s advancement.
