For those unfamiliar, 'Ranjan - The Advocate' is a Tamil adaptation of the acclaimed Telugu film 'Court - State Vs A Nobody'.

To celebrate Tamil New Year, Staar Movies, the film's production company, unveiled a poster that warmly welcomed Sathyaraj into the project.

To provide more context, the original Telugu film 'Court – State Vs A Nobody', produced by Telugu actor Nani, explored the misuse of the POCSO Act. This highly praised film resonated strongly with men’s rights advocates.

The narrative served as an eye-opener for many, illustrating the biases present in the Indian legal system.

Director Ram Jagadish, who helmed the Telugu version, revealed that the inspiration for the story stemmed from a real-life case he encountered.

He stated, “Upon discovering that case, I found myself questioning if such events could actually occur. As time passed, I realized there were numerous similar situations. I conducted research on various POCSO cases. There are countless instances in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. After reviewing many case files, I felt compelled to craft a compelling story that combined these narratives into a singular presentation on film.”

'Court – State Vs A Nobody' was a courtroom drama interwoven with a beautiful love story addressing the POCSO Act's misuse. This Telugu film, brought to life by Nani's Wall Poster Cinema, starred Priyadarshi in the lead role.
