Amit Sana recalled arriving at the competition as a raw contestant from a small town, with no sense of what lay ahead. 'Uss waqt hum mein se kisi ko bhi nahi pata tha ki 22 saal baad hum phir se Indian Idol ke isi stage par khade honge,' he said — meaning, at that time, none of them could have imagined standing on the same stage again 22 years later. He called it 'a very big thing.'

Judge Vishal Dadlani was visibly moved, saying the reunion was 'literally a moment in time, unbelievable.'
