Recently, choreographer and director Farah Khan visited Shankar Mahadevan’s residence in Navi Mumbai's Vashi region for her YouTube channel.

During her visit, she met his wife, Sangeeta Shankar Mahadevan, and their sons, Sidharth and Shivam.

Shankar showcased his culinary talents by preparing potli prawns and thecha for his esteemed guests.

He announced that the launch of his restaurant chain, named Malgudi, is set for this month (August). All dishes on the restaurant's menu have been personally curated by him.

Shankar mentioned that they will be inaugurating three branches of Malgudi in Chembur, Borivali, and Lower Parel.

“We will feature Mulbagal Dosa, which boasts a century-old recipe. I guarantee you will experience it for the first time,” Shankar Mahadevan stated.

Expressing her enthusiasm, Farah remarked that she eagerly anticipates visiting Shankar Mahadevan's South Indian restaurants.

Additionally, Shankar even composed a song for Farah's cook, Dilip, titled “Pagaar Badhao”.

He also revealed that he has recently constructed a full-fledged recording studio within his home, transforming an entire floor of his six-storey house into a creative sanctuary.

The main motivation for establishing the studio was to eliminate daily travel for work.

The studio’s walls proudly display several accolades he has received over the years, including his prestigious Padma Shri and a 2024 Grammy. We can also see the multiple National Film Awards earned for his singing and music direction with Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy.
