Mumbai, Sep 26 (NationPress) TV actor Sharad Malhotra is gearing up to portray a daring encounter specialist in ‘Yeh Hai Sanak.’ He shared insights about how he prepared for this role by immersing himself in classic cop films such as “Singham,” “Sarfarosh,” and “Ab Tak Chhappan.”

In an exclusive conversation with IANS, the star of ‘Banoo Main Teri Dulhann’ explained that revisiting these films helped him grasp nuanced performances and added authenticity to his portrayal. Discussing the character of Pradeep in the series, Sharad expressed, “Taking on the role of a cop like Pradeep Singh has proven to be both a challenge and an enriching experience. I re-watched iconic cop movies such as Singham, Sarfarosh, and Ab Tak Chhappan to absorb certain nuances while ensuring that Pradeep remains fresh and distinctive within this narrative.”

“In my real life, I can see a semblance of that cop-like astuteness within myself, particularly in my tendency to be cautious and meticulous. The opportunity to share the screen with Shivangi Verma and the entire cast has been an exhilarating experience. Our rehearsals created a synergy that I believe will resonate beautifully on screen. I’m eager to see the audience's reaction when the series premieres,” he continued.

The forthcoming crime thriller web series “Yeh Hai Sanak” will explore hidden secrets, complex relationships, and unforeseen twists. It features an ensemble cast including Shivangi Verma, Ankit Raj, and Simran Sachdeva. The series is set to launch on October 1, 2025, on Hungama OTT.
