In his poignant message, he conveyed how profoundly he misses them. Reflecting on their unwavering love and lifelong sacrifices, the actor conveyed that it is only as one matures that the true essence of a parent's commitment and their influence on our lives becomes apparent.

On Wednesday, Shekhar utilized his Instagram account to share a nostalgic photograph featuring himself with his late parents. In this rare and genuine snapshot, Shekhar Suman is depicted alongside his wife and son, posing with his parents. For the caption, the actor-host wrote, “Missing my mom and dad so much! They were the epitome of love, care, and affection. It's only through growing up that one comprehends their sacrifices that help us evolve into better individuals.”

Shekhar Suman frequently shares tributes to his parents on social platforms. In October, he penned another emotional tribute for his mother. Remembering her academic prowess as a Philosophy (Hons) graduate, he portrayed her as a gentle, reserved woman who spoke only when necessary. He noted that she was profoundly caring, looking after everyone in the family impartially, despite being the only son amidst three sisters. He also confessed that, despite her kindness, he feared her the most, as she upheld strong principles and maintained strict discipline.

An excerpt from his message read, “Ma was a kidney transplant patient requiring constant attention and monitoring. After my father, a distinguished surgeon and professor of surgery in Patna, passed away in 2010 due to Parkinson's disease, I resolved to bring her to Bombay. However, she adamantly refused, believing she would become a burden to me. Yet, when her health declined in 2015, I brought her from Patna to live with me, against her wishes, as she was a truly dignified and proud lady. Also very stubborn.” (sic)
