Shivaldo has recently been selected for Team India’s U23 squad, set to compete in friendlies against Tajikistan and Kyrgyz Republic in Dushanbe later this month. He has made 15 appearances for the club over two seasons.
"I’m thrilled to have extended my contract with Bengaluru FC, a place where I have developed significantly over the years. I am thankful to the coaches and management for their trust in me, as well as to the fans for their unwavering support. Last season was challenging, and I appreciate the club's backing during that time. I’m eager to help the team achieve further success in the future," Shivaldo expressed after completing the agreement.
Shivaldo made his debut for the Blues against Mumbai City FC in 2023 and netted his first goal in a 2-1 victory over Goa later that season. He was honored as the club’s Emerging Player of the Season at the end of 2023-24. Furthermore, he made his debut for the India U23 team that same year, scoring on his first outing against Malaysia in an international friendly.
“Shivaldo is a player with great potential. After overcoming a tough injury at the start of last season, we believe he will play a crucial role in our future achievements. Everyone at the club is delighted to see him sign this new contract,” stated Darren Caldeira, Director of Football for the Blues.
Shivaldo’s contract extension follows similar long-term agreements signed by Naorem Roshan Singh and Lalremtluanga Fanai.
