Bengaluru, May 7 (NationPress) Bengaluru FC has officially revealed that full-back Naorem Roshan Singh has penned a new four-year contract with the club, securing his future with the Blues until the conclusion of the 2028-29 season. Roshan, who became part of the club as a teenager back in 2017, has advanced through the ranks of the side’s Reserve Team before making his debut in the Indian Super League (ISL) in 2020."I’m truly delighted to extend my journey with BFC, a club where I’ve developed both as a player and an individual. The backing of my teammates, the affection from the fans, and the city have made this an effortless choice for me. I feel at home here in Bengaluru, and I’m eager to create more memories in the BFC jersey," Roshan expressed after finalizing his contract.
Known for his versatility as a full-back, capable of performing effectively on either flank, Roshan has made a total of 91 appearances in the ISL, contributing 14 assists and netting two goals. The 26-year-old has also participated in two ISL finals and celebrated victory in the Durand Cup in 2022.
During the latest 2024-25 season, Roshan was among just two players to feature in every single ISL game for the Blues, making 28 appearances alongside club captain Sunil Chhetri.
"Roshan is a player we’ve witnessed evolve from a teenager in our B Team to a key player in the first team, and he’s now also an Indian international. We’re thrilled to have him commit for four more years, as he strongly embodies what this club represents. As one of the finest full-backs in the nation, Roshan drew interest from multiple ISL teams, but we’re pleased he chose to remain and continue his journey with BFC," stated Blues’ Director of Football, Darren Caldeira.
After a breakout season in 2021-22, where he provided seven assists and scored his debut goal, Roshan was honored as the ISL’s Emerging Player of the Year in 2022. He made his debut for the Indian National Team later that same year and has since earned 12 caps for the country.
