Mumbai, Oct 4 (NationPress) It appears that actress Shruti Haasan is feeling quite uneasy after viewing the biographical crime drama anthology series ‘Monster: The Ed Gein Story’. She declared that she would never consider dating someone who exhibits even a hint of eccentricity.

On her Instagram stories, Shruti posted the promotional image of ‘Monster: The Ed Gein Story’, which delves into the life of the infamous serial killer Ed Gein, portrayed by Hollywood actor Charlie Hunnam.

In her post, she wrote: “Ok so...No eating, no sleeping. Also turning vegetarian for a week. Never going on a date with someone who's slightly weird. Even. Yeah just NO.”

This series examines the dark life of the convicted murderer and body snatcher Ed Gein, whose heinous acts inspired numerous Hollywood films. Key characters include Gein's mother, Augusta, played by Laurie Metcalf, film director Alfred Hitchcock portrayed by Tom Hollander, and Olivia Williams as Hitchcock's wife, screenwriter, and film editor Alma Reville.

Known as the Butcher of Plainfield and the Plainfield Ghoul, Ed Gein committed his crimes in and around his hometown of Plainfield, Wisconsin. His notoriety surged in 1957 when authorities uncovered that he had dug up corpses from local cemeteries and crafted keepsakes from their bones and skin.

Initially deemed unfit for trial, Gein was confined to a mental health institution. By 1968, he was declared competent to stand trial; he was convicted of the murder of Worden but was found legally insane, leading to his commitment to a psychiatric facility.

As for Shruti, she was last seen in “Coolie,” where she played Preethi Rajasekar alongside legends of Indian cinema like Rajinikanth, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Malayalam actor Soubin Shahir, and Bollywood star Aamir Khan in a cameo role.

“Coolie” narrates the story of a former coolie union leader who probes the death of his friend, leading him into the dark world of a crime syndicate.

Next, the actress will appear in “Salaar Part 2: Shouryanga Parvam.” The first part, “Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire,” was released in 2023. This epic neo-noir action thriller is helmed by Prashanth Neel and stars Prabhas in the lead role, alongside a stellar cast including Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Bobby Simha, Sriya Reddy, Ramachandra Raju, John Vijay, Easwari Rao, Tinnu Anand, Devaraj, Brahmaji, and Mime Gopi.
