Chennai, Feb 11 (NationPress) In a touching homage to her late friend Melanie, with whom she collaborated on the Hollywood project ‘The Eye’, actress Shruti Haasan expressed her heartfelt sentiments in a post on Tuesday. She thanked her friend for her “rare brand of lightning energy”, “grace”, and “true power”.

In her Instagram post, accompanied by a photo of herself with Melanie, Shruti shared, “My dear Melanie,

I will miss you as I type this through tears. However, I also find joy in the incredible memories we created together. You were a force of nature, a genuine punk rocker, and possessed the warmest, most golden heart.”

Highlighting Melanie's belief in female empowerment, Shruti added, “You championed the sisterhood and the strength of women, bringing us all together for ‘The Eye’ with immense love, energy, and passion.”

This film, supported by Fingerprint Content, is co-produced by Agronauts Productions, one of Greece's largest and most reputable production companies.

Shruti filmed the project in Athens and Corfu. ‘The Eye’ is a psychological thriller that narrates the tale of a widow returning to a Greek island to scatter her late husband's ashes.
