The morning saw the North East Zone’s innings come to a quick end as they were dismissed for 185, leaving the Central Zone with a commanding lead of 347 runs. Opting not to enforce the follow-on, Shubham added to the North East's woes with a knock of 122 off 215 deliveries, featuring 17 boundaries.
Captain Patidar scored a swift 66 off 72 balls, adorned with six fours and three sixes, while Rathod made 78 from 83 balls with 11 boundaries.
