Mysuru, Nov 3 (NationPress) Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah stated that the anti-incumbency sentiment and the BJP's corrupt and misguided governance are pivotal elements in the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. He expressed optimism that the opposition Grand Alliance will triumph this time.
While addressing the media at Mysuru Airport, Siddaramaiah, when asked about the Bihar election campaign, stated: "If I receive an invitation for the Bihar election campaign, I will definitely attend. This time, I am assured that the Grand Alliance of opposition parties will claim victory. The electorate of Bihar will be encouraged to vote in favor of the alliance."
"The anti-incumbency wave in Bihar and the BJP's corruption and mismanagement will be the primary concerns. The NDA alliance in Bihar has even emulated Karnataka's guarantee schemes. In Karnataka, 1.24 crore women benefit from receiving Rs 2,000 each month through the Gruha Lakshmi scheme. To date, over Rs 1 lakh crore has been allocated to various guarantee schemes in the state."
"Bihar's current Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar, has been forming alliances with various parties devoid of any ideological foundation. Poverty remains rampant in Bihar. Hence, the impoverished, backward classes, Dalits, and minorities are likely to support Congress," Siddaramaiah noted.
When questioned about his plans to campaign in Bihar, he replied: "I have yet to receive a summons for the Bihar election campaign... if I do, I will go. I believe the India bloc will emerge victorious. The anti-incumbency and the corruption of BJP leaders will lead to their downfall."
Regarding his Bihar counterpart's recent statement about offering women Rs 10,000 if the NDA retains power, CM Siddaramaiah remarked that Rs 10,000 is merely a one-time proposal while "we are providing Rs 2,000 monthly to 1.25 lakh women in Karnataka. So far, over Rs 1 lakh crore has been expended on guarantees."
"Nitish Kumar has held the Chief Ministerial position for years without any ideological stance. He aligns with Congress, BJP, and Lalu Prasad Yadav... There is no ideological consistency in him. Poverty is substantial in Bihar," he observed.
On the subject of the Rajyotsava awards, Siddaramaiah mentioned: "This year, numerous individuals who have contributed selflessly in various sectors have been honored with the Kannada Rajyotsava Award. Without soliciting applications, individuals from every district were recognized and honored, focusing on social justice and regional balance."
