Mysuru, Oct 17 (NationPress) Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah expressed his strong belief on Friday that the INDIA bloc will secure a victory in the upcoming Bihar state Assembly elections.
While addressing the media at Mysuru Airport, he emphasized that the populace is yearning for change, which he believes is imminent.
During the padyatra led by Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Siddaramaiah noted an extraordinary response from the crowd, further solidifying his confidence in the alliance's success. He also mentioned he would participate in the campaign if invited.
When questioned about the potential implications of the Bihar election outcomes on Karnataka's political landscape, he clarified that the results of one state's elections do not influence another.
Responding to inquiries about the so-called November Revolution, which suggested a shift in leadership within the state, he remarked, "What is revolution? Change does not equate to revolution."
Siddaramaiah advised the media to disregard such claims, regardless of who makes them.
On the topic of restrictions on organizational activities within schools, he highlighted a government order issued back in 2013 during Jagadish Shettar's tenure as Chief Minister.
He clarified that this order is not exclusive to RSS activities but applies to all organizations, prohibiting activities in government schools, playgrounds, public spaces, parks, and government-aided schools.
While inaugurating the Yuva Samruddhi Job Fair organized by the Department of Skill Development, Entrepreneurship, and Livelihood in Mysuru, CM Siddaramaiah asserted, "We are a government that fulfills its promises. Don't believe the BJP's falsehoods that the Yuva Nidhi allowance will be terminated upon taking skill training. The allowance will only cease once a job is secured."
He criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi's unfulfilled promise of generating two crore jobs annually, stating that in the past 11 years, 22 crore jobs should have been created. "We do not engage in false promises like they do," he added, while providing details on recruitment through government initiatives and job fairs.
In the last two and a half years, 58,892 job seekers have participated in job fairs organized by the government in Bengaluru, with 11,507 candidates receiving appointment letters and 22,819 candidates shortlisted.
Across various districts, a total of 1,20,563 candidates attended job fairs, leading to 24,391 receiving appointment letters and 48,232 being shortlisted.
"The previous administration completely overlooked job seekers. However, in our two and a half years in office, we have already filled 28,000 vacant posts and approved 35,000 more," he mentioned.
The Congress government is effectively working to provide skill training aligned with industry demands and create job opportunities, he concluded.
