New Delhi, Nov 13 (NationPress) As the Bihar Assembly election results approach, the JD(U) along with its NDA partner Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) have expressed unwavering confidence in a significant win for the alliance led by Nitish Kumar. They claim that the populace has decisively turned away from the Mahagathbandhan.
In regard to the exit polls, JD(U) Chief Spokesperson Neeraj Kumar indicated that the sentiment across Bihar distinctly shows public faith in Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, while there is skepticism towards RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav.
“Based on the sentiments of the people in Bihar, there is no chance that Tejashwi Yadav, who is embroiled in legal issues across four states — Bihar, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi, will gain acceptance,” he stated in an interview with IANS.
He further asserted that the Opposition coalition is on the path to defeat. “During the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, they experienced a significant setback, and it is certain that the Mahagathbandhan will face a similar fate. Tejashwi’s inexperience is evident, and Bihar requires a robust and mature vision, achievable only under Nitish Kumar’s leadership,” Neeraj Kumar emphasized.
In line with this optimism, LJP (Ram Vilas) MP Shambhavi Choudhary remarked, “The NDA is poised to reclaim the government with a full majority and strength. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is set to take the oath once again.”
The counting of votes for all 243 Assembly constituencies is slated for Friday, November 14, following two phases of polling conducted on November 6 and 11. Bihar recorded an extraordinary voter turnout of 67.14 percent by 5 p.m. during the final phase, marking the highest in the state's electoral history. The initial phase also demonstrated a noteworthy increase, with turnout 2.09 percent higher than the 2020 Assembly elections.
Districts such as Kishanganj (76.26 percent), Katihar (75.23 percent), Purnea (73.79 percent), and Supaul (70.69 percent) exhibited particularly high voter engagement, indicating robust public involvement across the state.
JD(U) leaders perceive this increased turnout as a favorable indication for the NDA. “The public has witnessed development, law and order, and stability under Nitish ji’s guidance. The voters of Bihar are discerning; they prefer continuity over chaos,” Neeraj Kumar concluded.
