New Delhi, June 13 (NationPress) Sikkim Governor Om Prakash Mathur met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday in the capital, addressing crucial matters concerning the development of the hill state.
The meeting took place at PM Modi's official residence at 7 Lok Kalyan Marg in Delhi. Recently, Sikkim celebrated its 50th statehood anniversary.
In late May, the Prime Minister was set to visit Sikkim for the golden jubilee celebrations; however, adverse weather conditions prevented his helicopter from departing from Bagdogra airport in West Bengal.
Nonetheless, PM Modi participated in the ‘Sikkim@50’ event via videoconference from Gangtok on May 29, under the theme ‘Where Progress Meets Purpose, and Nature Nurtures Growth’.
