Chennai, January 5 (NationPress) The highly anticipated next phase of director Vetrimaaran's action-packed film 'Arasan', starring the talented Silambarasan, popularly known as Simbu, is set to commence in March.

Producer Kalaipuli S Thanu, head of V Creations, has officially announced this development. Thanu noted that Simbu recently returned to India after a brief vacation abroad, and the filming for the next schedule will kick off in March.

Additionally, Thanu confirmed the involvement of acclaimed actor Vijay Sethupathi in the film, refuting rumors suggesting he would not be featured. Scenes between Vijay Sethupathi and Simbu are expected to be filmed during this upcoming schedule.

Actor and filmmaker Samuthirakani has also affirmed his participation in this much-anticipated project.

The film's crew completed its first schedule in Kovilpatti on December 21 of the previous year, with the second schedule wrapping up in January. Now, preparations are underway for the third schedule set to launch in March.

This film has generated significant buzz for several reasons. Firstly, it marks the inaugural collaboration between Simbu and the esteemed director Vetrimaaran. Secondly, it is produced by one of the leading figures in Tamil cinema, Kalaipuli S Thanu. The excitement escalated further with the announcement of Vijay Sethupathi's inclusion in the cast.

A teaser for 'Arasan' released last year opens on a humorous note, featuring director Nelson in a cameo. In this teaser, Simbu reveals to Nelson that the truths he is about to share are indeed real, involving actual killers, victims, and locations. He cautions Nelson against portraying the events as they are, suggesting a disclaimer because many of these cases are still under judicial consideration. Simbu warns that revealing these details could endanger not just his own safety, but also that of numerous lawyers, politicians, police, and judges.

As Simbu articulates these points, the creators of 'Arasan' issue a disclaimer. He suggests that by providing a disclaimer, even if the film's events are rooted in reality, accountability can be avoided. Simbu mentions that his own case is due for a hearing soon and promises to return and elaborate on the matter.

While heading to court, he receives guidance from his attorney. Once on the stand, he is confronted by the judge regarding accusations of committing three murders in a single night, to which he denies involvement. However, subsequent scenes imply his direct involvement in the gruesome acts.

The teaser hints at this being an untold narrative from the realm of 'Vada Chennai'. Recently, the film's title 'Arasan' was confirmed.

Vetrimaaran's upcoming film with Simbu also features Andrea Jeremiah and Kishore in prominent roles, with music composed by Anirudh.

It is worth mentioning that Vetrimaaran has clarified recent rumors regarding the sequel to his highly awaited film 'Vada Chennai'. He stated that while 'Arasan' features Simbu as the lead, it should not be mistaken as 'Vada Chennai 2', although the storyline is set within the 'Vada Chennai' universe.
