Chennai, March 31 (NationPress) Reports from industry insiders indicate that the filming of director Vetrimaran's highly anticipated action drama 'Arasan', starring actor Silambarasan, known as Simbu, is expected to conclude by the first week of June this year.

Additionally, sources connected to the film's production reveal that actress Priyanka Arul Mohan will begin her shooting schedule on April 2. The film's creators are aiming for a release around Deepavali.

It is worth noting that Silambarasan resumed filming for this action-packed entertainer on March 17, which generated considerable buzz on social media.

Alongside him, actors Vikranth and child artist Kamalesh, who won acclaim for his role in the hit 'Tourist Family', are also participating in the current shooting schedule, which is moving forward swiftly.

Insiders suggest that this filming phase will be extensive, with several scenes featuring Vijay Sethupathi planned for this segment.

Earlier this year, producer Kalaipuli S Thanu of V Creations confirmed that Silambarasan had just returned from a brief overseas vacation and was set to dive back into filming in March.

Thanu also reassured fans that reports about Vijay Sethupathi's absence from the project were unfounded, confirming that scenes with both actors would be filmed in the upcoming schedule.

The initial filming schedule, which took place in Kovilpatti, was concluded on December 21 of the previous year.

This film has generated significant anticipation for several reasons, including the collaboration of Simbu with renowned director Vetrimaran for the first time. Furthermore, it's being produced by one of the leading figures in Tamil cinema, Kalaipuli S Thanu. The addition of actor Vijay Sethupathi has further fueled excitement among fans.

A teaser released by the filmmakers last year opens with director Nelson appearing as himself, where Simbu shares that the narrative he is about to unfold is entirely factual. He cautions Nelson to include a disclaimer, emphasizing that many of the cases he references are ongoing legal matters.

As the promo unfolds, Simbu prepares to testify in court, stating he is accused of three murders but insists on his innocence, even as the visuals suggest otherwise.

This film promises to delve into an untold narrative from the world of 'Vada Chennai'. Recently, the title 'Arasan' was officially announced.

Vetrimaran's project with Simbu also features notable actors such as Samuthirakani, Andrea Jeremiah, and Kishore. The music is being composed by Anirudh.
