Chennai, Aug 4 (NationPress) The production team behind director Sudha Kongara's highly anticipated period film, 'Parasakthi', starring actor Sivakarthikeyan in the main role, announced on Monday that they have successfully concluded their shooting schedule in Pollachi.
In a post shared on their X profile, Dawn Pictures, the film's production company, stated, "We have completed the Pollachi schedule for #Parasakthi. The final leg is nearing!"
Insiders reveal that several crucial scenes were filmed during this segment, which commenced on July 18. However, Sivakarthikeyan joined the crew a bit later due to prior commitments.
It was noted that Sivakarthikeyan had been occupied with finishing some outstanding scenes for A R Murugadoss's Madharasi before joining Parasakthi.
Previously, the initial shooting schedule of 'Parasakthi' took place in Madurai, followed by a schedule in Sri Lanka, making the Pollachi segment the third phase.
The film has generated significant excitement among fans and cinema lovers, as it is set against the backdrop of the 1960s in the former state of Madras. Alongside Sivakarthikeyan, the cast includes Atharvaa and Sreeleela.
A recently released teaser indicates the narrative unfolds at Pachaiyappa’s College in Madras, where Sivakarthikeyan is depicted as a fearless leader, rallying students towards a violent protest against an oppressive system. The teaser poignantly shows a wall inscription changing from 'Students - do not touch' to 'Do not touch students.'
It also hints that Ravi Mohan's character is determined to eliminate Sivakarthikeyan's role.
Parasakthi, initially known as #SK25 as it marks Sivakarthikeyan's 25th film, features music composed by G V Prakash and cinematography by veteran Ravi K Chandran. The film's action sequences are choreographed by Supreme Sundar.
