Chennai, Dec 22 (NationPress) The producers of director Sudha Kongara's highly anticipated period film, 'Parasakthi', starring Sivakarthikeyan, Ravi Mohan, Atharvaa, and Sreeleela, have officially announced that the film's release has been rescheduled to January 10 of the coming year.

Initially, the film was set to premiere on January 14, coinciding with the Pongal festival.

In a statement shared via their social media platforms, Dawn Pictures, the film's production company, revealed, "We would like to inform the media, trade, and audiences that the release of 'Parasakthi' has been advanced to January 10, 2026. This decision follows extensive discussions and numerous requests from exhibitors and distributors globally, who expressed strong faith in the film's potential at the box office during this time. 'Parasakthi' will now be available in theaters worldwide on January 10, 2026."

The film has generated significant excitement among both enthusiasts and casual viewers. It's worth noting that Sivakarthikeyan commenced dubbing for the film in the last week of November.

Dawn Pictures released a video showcasing the actor dubbing under the guidance of director Sudha Kongara, stating, "When his voice becomes a storm. @sivakarthikeyan begins dubbing for #Parasakthi - Arriving in theaters on January 14th."

Both actress Sreeleela, who portrays the female lead, and actor Ravi Mohan, who plays the antagonist, have completed their dubbing. Notably, Sreeleela has lent her own voice for her role in this film.

The production team confirmed on October 21 that filming for the movie had concluded. The team finished their schedule in Pollachi in August.

It's also important to note that the first schedule of 'Parasakthi' took place in Madurai, followed by the second schedule in Sri Lanka, and the third in Pollachi, Tamil Nadu.

'Parasakthi' has sparked considerable interest among fans and movie enthusiasts alike. The period drama is believed to be set in the 1960s in the former state of Madras.

A teaser released by the team indicates that the narrative unfolds at Pachaiyappa’s college in Madras, where Sivakarthikeyan is depicted searching for something, presenting himself as a fearless leader rallying students for a protest against an oppressive system. The teaser intriguingly reveals a change in a printed order on a wall from 'Students - do not touch' to 'Do not touch students.'

The teaser suggests that Ravi Mohan's character is determined to eliminate Sivakarthikeyan's character.

'Parasakthi', previously referred to as #SK25 due to it being Sivakarthikeyan's 25th film, features music by G V Prakash and cinematography by seasoned cameraman Ravi K Chandran. The film's action sequences are coordinated by Supreme Sundar.
