Chennai, July 18 (NationPress) Recent reports indicate that the crew of director Sudha Kongara's highly anticipated period drama, 'Parasakthi', starring actor Sivakarthikeyan, is gearing up to kick off its next shooting segment in Pollachi this Friday.
Insiders suggest that significant sequences are to be filmed during this period. Although the shooting schedule commences on Friday, Sivakarthikeyan is expected to join the team a bit later. Sources reveal that he had been occupied with wrapping up some outstanding scenes for A R Murugadoss's Madharasi, which he has now completed, allowing him to soon return to the sets of Parasakthi.
It’s worth noting that director Sudha Kongara had shared in May that only around 40 days of shooting remain to finalize the film.
While speaking to the press at a recent event, Sudha Kongara provided an update on the film’s progress, stating, "We have managed to film a significant portion so far, and only about 40 more days of shooting are needed to finish up."
The first schedule of 'Parasakthi' took place in Madurai, followed by a second schedule in Sri Lanka.
Parasakthi has generated immense excitement among fans and cinema aficionados alike. The period film, featuring Atharvaa and Sreeleela, is set against the backdrop of the 1960s in the former state of Madras.
A teaser released by the production team reveals that the narrative unfolds in Pachaiyappa’s College in Madras, where Sivakarthikeyan is depicted going door to door in search of something crucial. He emerges as a dauntless leader, rallying students for a forceful protest against an oppressive system that has imposed a decree stating, 'Students - do not touch'. Notably, the teaser demonstrates how this order is modified to 'Do not touch students'.
The teaser also hints that Ravi Mohan’s role is determined to eliminate Sivakarthikeyan’s character.
Parasakthi, initially referred to as #SK25 due to it being Sivakarthikeyan’s 25th film, boasts musical compositions by G V Prakash and cinematography by the seasoned Ravi K Chandran. Action sequences are choreographed by Supreme Sundar.
