Chennai, March 11 (NationPress) Actor Sivakarthikeyan has embarked on a journey to Sri Lanka for the upcoming shooting schedule of the highly anticipated period action film, ‘Parasakthi’, directed by Sudha Kongara.
Notably, Sivakarthikeyan's travel to the island was confirmed through images shared by Sri Lankan Airlines on their X timeline.
On Tuesday, the airline posted photos of the actor with the flight crew, stating, “We are excited to welcome aboard South Indian cinema star Mr. @Siva_Kartikeyan during his recent journey from Chennai to Colombo with SriLankan Airlines. Thank you for flying with us!”
Actor Ravi Mohan, cast as the antagonist in Parasakthi, had mentioned a month prior that the film crew would be heading to Sri Lanka for the next schedule.
Director Sudha Kongara revealed last month that the first shooting schedule was successfully completed in Madurai.
In a social media post, she shared images of her crew and cast members at the renowned Madurai Meenakshi Amman temple, stating, “Meenakshi, mayil, malli and schedule wrap in one of my most cherished locations on this planet...Madurai #shootdiaries.”
‘Parasakthi’ has generated immense excitement among fans and cinema enthusiasts. This period film, also featuring Atharvaa and Sreeleela, is set in the 1960s in the former state of Madras.
A teaser released by the production team indicates that the narrative unfolds at Pachaiyappa’s College in Madras, showcasing Sivakarthikeyan going door to door in search of something. He portrays a daring leader, aiming to rally students for a protest against an oppressive system that has imposed orders such as ‘Students - do not touch’. Interestingly, the teaser reveals this directive printed on a wall being transformed to ‘Do not touch students’.
The teaser also indicates that Ravi Mohan’s character is determined to eliminate Sivakarthikeyan’s role.
‘Parasakthi’, formerly known as #SK25 as it marks Sivakarthikeyan’s 25th film, features music by G V Prakash and cinematography by seasoned cameraman Ravi K Chandran. The film’s stunts are coordinated by Supreme Sundar.
