New Delhi, Jan 7 (NationPress) The Congress party is set to establish its new headquarters at Indira Bhawan, located on Kotla Marg, which is anticipated to be inaugurated next week. The inauguration will be conducted by Sonia Gandhi, the Chairperson of the Congress Parliamentary Party (CPP), on January 15.

This event represents a significant advancement in the party's modernization initiatives, according to party officials.

The highly awaited ceremony is scheduled for 10 a.m. and will be attended by key political figures, including AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, and Sonia Gandhi.

Congress General Secretary, KC Venugopal, announced the details on the social media platform X, stating: "It is time for us to move ahead with the times and embrace the new!" Party leaders have described the event as a historic milestone for Congress, representing both progress and the lasting legacy of the party's leadership.

Located at 9A, Kotla Road, New Delhi, Indira Bhawan is designed to address the evolving requirements of the party and its leaders, featuring contemporary facilities that support administrative, organizational, and strategic functions. This landmark building embodies the Congress Party’s forward-thinking vision while honoring its remarkable history, which has influenced the political and social landscape of India," Venugopal elaborated on X.

"The new AICC Headquarters, Indira Bhawan, will be inaugurated by Sonia Gandhi ji, whose tenure as INC President saw the commencement of its construction," he added.

During the inauguration, the Congress leadership will be accompanied by senior party members, including CWC members, CWC Permanent and Special Invitees, CPP Office Bearers, AICC Office Bearers, Central Election Committee (CEC) Members, Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) Chiefs, CLP Leaders, Members of Parliament (MPs), as well as former Chief Ministers and Union Ministers. The presence of such notable leaders will highlight the significance of this moment, marking a new era in the party's journey, according to party officials.

The new headquarters is tailored to meet the changing demands of Congress, providing modern spaces for administrative, organizational, and strategic activities.
