According to a police announcement, the attached property consists of a single-storey residential house along with land covering 3 kanals and 3 marlas, under Survey Nos. 2011, 2012, 2013, 2016, and 2018, situated in Reban Ramham. The property is owned by Javaid Ahmad Dar, the son of Ghulam Rasool Dar, a resident of Reban Sopore.
The attachment is linked with FIR No. 133/2024, registered at the Police Station Sopore under sections 13, 18, 19, 20, 23, 38, 39 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and section 7/25 of the Arms Act. An official noted that the investigation revealed that this property was intentionally used for harboring terrorists and facilitating their activities, thereby supporting the execution of terror operations in the Sopore area.
“Following the collection of evidence and securing the necessary approvals from relevant authorities, the property has been attached in accordance with legal provisions under UAPA,” the official stated.
The police reiterated their strong commitment to dismantling the terror ecosystem by targeting not only the operatives but also those who provide shelter, assistance, and resources to them. The public is once again urged to avoid extending any form of support, whether direct or indirect, to terrorists or their accomplices, as strict actions will be taken under legal provisions for any violations,” the statement emphasized.
Security forces and the J&K Police are actively engaging in robust anti-terror operations against terrorists, their sympathizers, and overground workers (OGWs) to dismantle the terror infrastructure in the Union Territory.
