Patna, Nov 6 (NationPress) The Start-up India initiative, a prominent initiative under the Modi administration, is delivering remarkable outcomes in the Madhubani district of Bihar, significantly altering the investment scene by creating fresh opportunities.
A notable instance is a chemical and gas enterprise set up in the Pandaul Industrial Area, which has generated substantial employment on its own. Founded approximately 1.5 years ago, this company currently employs around 80 individuals.
The owner and engineer, Abhishek Kumar, shared that his vision became a reality thanks to the Start-up India scheme initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In an interview with IANS, Abhishek explained, “I applied for land for this venture in 2022. We were allocated 32,000 square feet, nearly an acre, for Rs 3.2 million. This investment has allowed us to hire local talent. The incentives from the state government match our project’s total cost, and we’ve faced no challenges in the past year and a half.”
Nupur Jha, the assistant plant manager, expressed, "I previously worked in Gujarat, but now I’m delighted to be in Bihar. My salary has remained stable, and my colleagues are incredibly supportive. I owe thanks to PM Modi for fostering start-ups through this initiative."
Supervisor Santosh Sharma added, "Working here is a source of pride and fulfillment. The environment feels like a family."
Community members and employees are also eager to launch their own businesses, inspired by such start-up initiatives.
They are optimistic that Madhubani will craft new success stories under the Start-up India initiative, combined with the dedication of its residents.
As the Start-up India initiative approaches its tenth anniversary, its transformative journey began in 2016.
In nearly nine years, until January 2025, over 159,000 start-ups have been acknowledged by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT). Today, India stands as the third-largest start-up ecosystem globally.
