New Delhi, Jan 12 (NationPress) President Droupadi Murmu on Monday honored Swami Vivekananda on his birth anniversary, which is also recognized as National Youth Day. She emphasized that his teachings will persist in motivating humanity.

The government designated January 12 as National Youth Day in 1984 to inspire young people by linking them to the principles and teachings of Swami Vivekananda, while fostering their engagement in the nation’s development.

In a post on X, President Murmu stated, "I pay my humble tributes to Swami Vivekananda on his birth anniversary, celebrated as National Youth Day. A timeless visionary and spiritual icon, he preached that inner strength and service to humanity were foundations of a meaningful life."
