Chandigarh, July 6 (NationPress) Haryana's Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced on Sunday that a significant meeting pertaining to the Sutlej-Yamuna Link (SYL) concern will take place in New Delhi on July 9.
"At this meeting, we will focus on the positive aspects and, given the brotherly relationship between Haryana and Punjab, we are optimistic that a solution will be found through dialogue," the Chief Minister stated.
He also mentioned an ambitious initiative to create a jungle safari in Haryana, which is currently in the works and will be launched shortly.
Recently, he visited the Vantara Centre in Jamnagar, Gujarat, dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of injured or abandoned animals and birds, while also focusing on the preservation of endangered species.
The Chief Minister has reached out to Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat for assistance in establishing a Disneyland amusement park in the NCR area, with a 500-acre plot already earmarked for development, potentially turning it into a prominent tourist destination.
Chief Minister Saini reiterated the government's commitment to public service, working diligently in the spirit of Syama Prasad Mookerjee.
On the occasion of Mookerjee's 125th birth anniversary in New Delhi, he paid floral tributes and planted a sapling as part of the Prime Minister’s ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign, urging citizens to plant trees in honor of notable figures to support environmental conservation.
BJP state President Mohan Lal Badoli was present at the event, paying homage to Mookerjee and also participating in the tree-planting initiative.
In a media interaction following the event, Chief Minister Saini reflected on Mookerjee's legacy as a passionate nationalist, founder of the Jana Sangh, and freedom fighter, emphasizing his lifelong dedication to the nation.
"We must embrace the path he laid out and strive towards creating a developed India. Mookerjee's commitment to serving society and advocating for the underprivileged has earned him a place as a true champion of the poor," he concluded.
