Kabul, Feb 27 (NationPress) The spokesperson for the Taliban, Zabihullah Mujahid, has asserted that a 'special circle' in Pakistan has initiated efforts to unsettle the region following rising tensions between Kabul and Islamabad, according to local media reports on Friday.

During a press conference held in Kandahar, Mujahid urged neighboring countries to take action against the 'troublemakers.' He noted that Afghanistan's air forces had effectively targeted military installations in Pakistan, as reported by Afghanistan's Ariana News.

When questioned about the Taliban's position on potential peace calls from regional nations, he stated that Afghanistan desires a peaceful resolution to disputes and has participated in multiple negotiation rounds with Pakistan; however, Islamabad has shown no willingness to resolve issues through dialogue.

Mujahid emphasized that Pakistan consistently seeks to create justifications for conflict and links its internal problems to Afghanistan. He claimed that Pakistani aircraft were still operating within Afghan airspace.

Pakistan executed airstrikes in the Afghan provinces of Kabul, Kandahar, and Paktia on Thursday night.

Mujahid reported that Pakistani military forces conducted bombings in various locations across Kabul, Paktia, and Kandahar, resulting in the deaths of 13 Afghan soldiers and injuries to 22 others, as stated by Ariana News.

Earlier, the Afghan Air Force launched airstrikes targeting Pakistani military installations in Islamabad, Nowshera, Jamrud, and Abbottabad, as per Taliban Deputy Spokesman Hamdullah Fitrat.

Fitrat disclosed that these attacks were a response to the airstrikes conducted by Pakistani military forces in Kabul, Kandahar, and Paktia the previous night.

"The Air Force of the Ministry of National Defence successfully executed airstrikes on a military camp near Faizabad city in Islamabad, an army cantonment in Nowshera, Jamrud military colony, and Abbottabad today at approximately 11:00 am," Fitrat shared on X.

He added, "These airstrikes effectively targeted critical military positions, centers, and installations of the Pakistani army, responding to prior airstrikes on Kabul, Kandahar, and Paktia."

The Afghan Ministry of National Defence reported that its forces carried out retaliatory strikes along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, resulting in the deaths of at least 55 Pakistani soldiers and the capture of two bases along with 19 posts.

Additionally, it stated that eight Afghan soldiers lost their lives, and 11 others sustained injuries during the operation.

Kabul also noted that 13 Afghan civilians, including women and children, were injured due to a missile strike by Pakistani forces on a refugee camp in Nangarhar province.

On Thursday, Pakistan initiated 'Operation Ghazab lil-Haq' (Righteous Fury) in response to what it termed as “unprovoked firing” from Afghan forces across various border sectors, as reported by Pakistan's leading daily, 'Dawn.' The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) executed airstrikes targeting military sites in Kabul, Kandahar, and Paktia.
