Patna, April 15 (NationPress) Following a pivotal meeting with Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge in New Delhi, the Bihar Leader of the Opposition (LoP) Tejashwi Yadav returned to Patna on Tuesday evening, stating that the alliance discussions with Congress were tactical.

He characterized the talks as constructive, focusing on strategies for the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections.

“The meeting went well. We examined several tactical points concerning the forthcoming elections. This was not our initial meeting, and we will maintain our engagement,” Tejashwi informed reporters upon his arrival in Patna.

He confirmed that the upcoming alliance-wide meeting, which includes Congress, Left parties, and the Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP), is set for April 17 in Patna, where extensive strategy discussions are anticipated.

When asked about seat-sharing arrangements, Tejashwi refrained from providing a direct answer, instead emphasizing the coalition’s broader agenda.

“We are continually discussing how to combat unemployment, reduce crime rates, halt migration, and define our vision for Bihar,” he stated.

Tejashwi Yadav also shared an update on the health of RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, mentioning: “His health has improved and he is expected to return to Patna soon.”

In response to Nishant Kumar's assertion that the NDA would secure more seats than in 2010, Tejashwi remarked: “We choose not to comment on his claims. However, one thing is evident: the people of Bihar have made their choice. If Bihar aims to eliminate unemployment, inflation, migration, and poverty, it must move away from the NDA.”

Earlier that day, Tejashwi Yadav launched a fierce critique against Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, alleging that the BJP has taken control of him and is using him solely for electoral purposes.

“Nitish Kumar is currently unaware. The BJP has entirely taken over his leadership,” Yadav asserted.

“Amit Shah claimed the NDA would campaign under Nitish Kumar but never stated he would return as Chief Minister after the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections,” Yadav concluded.
