Bengaluru, March 28 (NationPress) BJP MP Tejasvi Surya and his singer wife Sivasri Skandaprasad had a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday in New Delhi, where they gifted him a 750-year-old manuscript.
Sharing the experience on the social media platform X, Tejasvi Surya expressed, "Sivasri and I had the privilege of meeting and receiving blessings from our Honorable PM Sri Narendra Modi Ji."
"As always, the Prime Minister radiated warmth and love, and he blessed us. He even mentioned that he had seen our wedding photographs, which took us both by surprise. On this special occasion, we presented the PM with a 750-year-old manuscript of the Sarvamoola Grantha, authored by Sri Madhwacharya, and preserved using advanced Waferfiche technology that enables the preservation of manuscripts for centuries," Surya elaborated.
Discussing the manuscript preservation technology, he stated, "Waferfiche is an innovative technology based on semiconductor manufacturing, utilizing Silicon wafers as substrates. The writing is accomplished through gold or aluminum metal deposition on Silicon. This size reduction allows multiple images to be stored on a single wafer, which are both fireproof and waterproof, capable of lasting for a millennium. This technology was also employed by NASA to create a time capsule during the first manned Moon landing."
"This ancient manuscript has been preserved in this modern manner by an NGO named Tara Prakashana from my constituency, dedicated to the preservation of ancient manuscripts. The PM, like an eager learner, inquired about the manuscript preservation process and emphasized the importance of safeguarding our traditional knowledge," he remarked.
He noted that under Prime Minister Modi's leadership, the nation is on a mission to conserve ancient manuscripts, which hold immense value for the country's civilizational heritage.
Prime Minister Modi has initiated the Gnana Bharat Mission and allocated budgetary resources to support this significant undertaking, Surya mentioned.
"We feel privileged to receive blessings from an extraordinary leader like Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji," he concluded.
