Hyderabad, Feb 19 (NationPress) The rise of Telangana as a center for AI-driven innovation was showcased to representatives from the US–India Business Council on Thursday at the USIBC Round Table during the India AI Impact Summit–2026 in Delhi.

In his address, Minister for Industry and Information Technology D. Sridhar Babu emphasized that with world-class infrastructure and a robust technology ecosystem, Telangana presents enticing opportunities for US investors looking for scalable and future-ready platforms.

During his keynote, he informed the USIBC that stable and progressive policies have laid a strong groundwork for AI research and implementation.

Public-private partnerships with leading US technology companies are being enhanced, while artificial intelligence is enhancing governance through real-time public service monitoring. Telangana remains dedicated to innovation-driven growth and international collaboration, he stated.

The minister highlighted that Telangana serves as an innovation platform in artificial intelligence, presenting numerous opportunities for American investors.

He noted that the state government is actively promoting public involvement in partnerships with US tech giants.

The minister elaborated that sustainable and progressive policies have established a foundation for AI research.

He pointed out that the state has positioned Telangana as a leader in AI by establishing innovation centers concentrating on sectors like health, agriculture, education, and urban development.

The establishment of an AI University, AI Hubs, and the development of a skilled workforce will be prioritized in the upcoming state budget, he added.

“In New Delhi, we conveyed that AI safety is not an obstacle to innovation but its very essence. Growth without adequate safeguards risks dismantling public trust, and responsible standards will shape how far artificial intelligence can genuinely progress,” Sridhar Babu shared on ‘X’.

“Telangana is crafting that future through AIKAM, TGDeX, AI City, and Bharat Future City, by amplifying innovation with sustainability, shared responsibility, and citizen-centric governance at its core,” he added.

Sridhar Babu mentioned that meaningful discussions took place with Indonesia’s Vice Minister for Communications and Digital Affairs, Nezar Patria, on the sidelines of the summit.

The meeting centered around Indonesia’s proposal to develop a Hyderabad–Jakarta Technology Skills Development Corridor to facilitate technological talent exchange, reinforce skill development frameworks, and enhance collaboration between the startup and innovation ecosystems of Telangana and Indonesia.
