During the inauguration of the Google Safety Engineering Centre (GSEC) in Hyderabad, he highlighted that this facility is the first of its kind for the tech giant in the Asia Pacific region, and only the fourth worldwide.
The Chief Minister emphasized that Google has initiated significant transformations globally, making our lives increasingly digital amid fast-evolving technologies. He pointed out that current concerns in the IT sector revolve around privacy and security. As our economy, governance, and daily routines are deeply integrated with digital technology, we will further progress through enhanced digital security.
Revanth Reddy expressed pride in Google's establishment of a cybersecurity hub dedicated to advanced security solutions and skill development, which will also create employment opportunities and strengthen India's cybersecurity capabilities.
The ethos of Google's 'Do No Evil' is widely respected. He stated that, akin to Google, his government is dedicated to the welfare of the populace through beneficial actions. He emphasized the importance of achieving sustainable results over time, as their philosophy may not yield immediate outcomes.
He sought Google's collaboration to elevate youth skills and create job opportunities. He urged the tech giant to become brand ambassadors for Telangana Rising, as Google and Hyderabad share a long-standing relationship.
Google established its inaugural office in Hyderabad back in 2007 during Congress governance. Currently, the company employs approximately 7,000 people in Hyderabad, making it their largest campus outside the United States.
The state government has actively partnered with Google, collaborating in numerous fields, including Education, Security, Maps, Traffic, Startups, and Health. He noted the similarities in the innovative approaches adopted by both Google and his government.
Our aim is to deliver quality education; to that end, the government has launched the Young India Skills University and Young India Integrated Residential Schools. Annually, 110,000 engineering graduates emerge from colleges in the state, many lacking the requisite skills for employment. The esteemed Young India Skills University, guided by renowned industrialist Anand Mahindra, is focused on skill enhancement among students.
Revanth Reddy expressed a desire to ensure a high standard of living for women, youth, farmers, the economically disadvantaged, the middle class, senior citizens, and children, akin to Google's impact.
He stated the state government is committed to uplifting one crore women to millionaire status, with stalls for women’s self-help groups established on a sprawling 2.5 acres adjacent to the Google office in Hyderabad.
