Hyderabad, Nov 4 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Telangana, A. Revanth Reddy, has reached out for Germany's backing in his ambition to establish Hyderabad as a global innovation hub.
During a meeting with a delegation headed by German Consul General Michael Hasper, he emphasized the need for a robust partnership with Germany in crucial investment sectors such as IT, pharmaceuticals, and automobiles.
The German team informed the Chief Minister that Deutsche Börse, a prominent financial services provider, is launching its Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Hyderabad as part of its growth strategy.
Expressing his gratitude, the Chief Minister welcomed the decision to establish the GCC in Hyderabad and pledged that the Telangana government would provide complete support for future German investments.
As per the Chief Minister’s Office, the establishment of Deutsche Börse’s GCC is projected to create approximately 1,000 new jobs in the IT sector in Hyderabad within the next two years.
Revanth Reddy urged the German delegation to assist in realizing Telangana’s vision of making Hyderabad a global innovation hub. He also asked the German Consul General to help in appointing German language educators in Telangana, which would allow local students to acquire the German language and enhance their international job opportunities.
Additionally, he suggested collaboration through the Telangana Overseas Manpower Company (TOMCOM) to bolster vocational education and skills training, enabling youth to gain valuable industry experience.
Furthermore, a delegation from Amazon Web Services (AWS) also met with the Chief Minister on the same day.
During their discussion, they reviewed ongoing data center projects, expansion plans, and other AWS initiatives in Telangana.
The Chief Minister reassured the AWS delegation of the Telangana government’s commitment to support both current and future investments in the region.
The meeting included notable participants such as Kerry Person, Global Head of AWS Data Centres, Vikram Sridharan, Director of Infrastructure Public Policy, along with various officials.
