A comprehensive presentation was delivered during the meeting, detailing the ongoing state government initiatives related to power, water, logistics, and social infrastructure, along with connectivity enhancements for semiconductor projects like Tata, Micron, and CG Semicon that are being established in Dholera and Sanand.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel asserted that India is on the verge of becoming a pivotal player in the semiconductor sector. He acknowledged that while numerous attempts were made in the past to launch semiconductor projects in the country, it has only been through PM Modi’s persistent efforts that these crucial projects have started materializing.
He further stated that India is set to become a global leader in the semiconductor industry and highlighted that an enabling ecosystem is being developed in Gujarat to position it as a front-runner in semiconductor manufacturing.
Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw expressed optimism about Dholera soon emerging as a key center for high-tech manufacturing. He mentioned that the global community is increasingly focused on India's burgeoning semiconductor industry, with Dholera attracting significant attention.
During the meeting, he reviewed ten essential projects and instructed that regular follow-up meetings be conducted to address any related issues.
