New Delhi, Feb 13 (NationPress) During a dedicated session focusing on Assam at the India Energy Week-2025 held in the national capital on Thursday, industry stakeholders from the hydrocarbon and related sectors were officially invited to participate in the forthcoming investor summit—Advantage Assam 2.0, as stated by officials.

The gathering occurred at Yashobhoomi in the Dwarka region of Delhi. An official announcement revealed that the ‘Team Assam’, led by Bikul Ch. Deka, Chairman of Assam Petro-Chemicals Ltd., relayed the enthusiastic appeal from Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma to investors, particularly those in the hydrocarbon and allied industries, encouraging them to attend the upcoming Advantage Assam 2.0 – Investment and Infrastructure Summit 2025, set for Guwahati on February 25-26, 2025, while also inviting them to explore significant investment prospects in Assam.

The Special Session on Assam welcomed approximately 150 attendees; including investors, business executives, and media representatives from around the world.

During the session, speakers emphasized the investment potential within the petrochemical sector in Assam (which encompasses downstream industries utilizing methanol and formalin as feedstock), exploration/drilling/gas extraction, refinery support, gas processing, and particularly in the northeast gas grid sector and related gas cracker industry segments.

With Advantage Assam 2.0 approaching in Guwahati later this month, the Assam government is committed to establishing Assam as a leading investment hub within the energy and infrastructure domains.

The event acts as a vital platform for investors to connect with industry leaders and government officials, paving the way for economic development and industrial growth in Assam.

Additionally, Sachiv Kumar, the Additional Director General of the Directorate of Hydrocarbon, alongside other senior officials from the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, attended the gathering.

In attendance were also Bikul Ch. Deka, Chairman of Assam Petro Chemicals Ltd.; Bhaskar Jyoti Phukan, Managing Director of Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL); Pranjal Changmai, Managing Director of Brahmaputra Cracker and Polymer Limited (BCPL); among other distinguished guests.
