Assam's Chief Minister Engages with Union Minister Scindia, Invites Him to Investor Summit

New Delhi, Dec 3 (NationPress) Assam's Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma engaged with Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia in the national capital on Tuesday, inviting him to participate in the forthcoming investor summit in the state, scheduled for February 2025.
In a post on X, Sarma stated, "This morning, I was pleased to invite the Hon’ble Union Minister Shri @JM_Scindia ji to the #AdvantageAssam summit taking place in Guwahati in February 2025."
"We also conversed about the upcoming #AshtalakshmiMahotsav, supported by @MDoNER_India, and explored avenues related to ongoing development initiatives in the state," he added.
On the previous day, Sarma had a meeting with Union External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar in New Delhi, seeking his support and cooperation for the success of the upcoming Assam Infrastructure and Investment Summit, as reported by officials.
During the meeting with EAM Jaishankar at Jawaharlal Nehru Bhawan, Chief Minister Sarma extended an invitation for him to grace the summit.
In a post on X, he mentioned, "I had the honor to meet Hon'ble Union External Affairs Minister Shri @DrSJaishankar ji today in New Delhi and invite him to the Assam Infrastructure and Investment Summit 2025."
"I also requested all possible cooperation from @MEAIndia to ensure the Summit's grand success," he added.
The Assam Infrastructure and Investment Summit is set to occur in Guwahati on February 24 and 25 next year.
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also reached out to PM Modi to invite him to the investor summit scheduled for February next year.
Later, Sarma shared on X, "Today in New Delhi, I had the honor to receive guidance from Adarniya Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi Ji on various developmental issues. On behalf of the people of Assam, I also had the pleasure to invite him to bless the Assam Investor & Infrastructure Summit and Mega Jhumur Performance in February 2025, which he graciously accepted."
Notably, 'Advantage Assam 2.0', the Investment and Infrastructure Summit, aims to showcase Assam’s rich cultural heritage on a global platform.
According to CM Sarma, the event, set for February 24 and 25, will emphasize the traditional Jhumur dance of the tea tribe clans.
