Hyderabad, May 12 (NationPress) Telangana has successfully drawn in nearly Rs 3 lakh crore in investments since December 2023, resulting in the creation of one lakh jobs in the private sector, as stated by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Monday.

The Chief Minister emphasized that Telangana is the leading state in India for attracting both domestic and international investments.

During the inauguration of a new facility in Nanakramguda, Hyderabad, he highlighted that at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Telangana secured investments amounting to Rs 1.78 lakh crore. He mentioned, “Through my participation in the World Economic Forum and investor meetings in the USA, South Korea, Japan, and Singapore, we have effectively communicated that Telangana means business.”

He noted Hyderabad's emergence as a hub for Global Capability Centres in the software and life sciences sectors, stating that it has become a prominent center for AI-ready data centres, life sciences, and manufacturing. Several major IT companies are expanding their operations and establishing new campuses in the region.

The Chief Minister referred to a report from the Central Government, asserting that Telangana ranks first in policing and law enforcement. He stated, “We excel in managing inflation, creating jobs both in the government and private sectors, and achieving top tax collection rates.”

Revanth Reddy expressed his commitment to support industries and foster economic growth for various stakeholders, including farmers, women, youth, students, and senior citizens.

“We are implementing India’s largest entrepreneurial funding and mentoring initiative, empowering 66 lakh women through Self-Help Groups. With Rajiv Yuva Vikasam, we aim to fund thousands of young entrepreneurs across diverse sectors. We are also the first state to recruit transgenders into the Hyderabad traffic force as volunteers,” he added.

The Chief Minister announced plans for a dry port linked to a sea port in Andhra Pradesh, complete with a dedicated road and rail corridor. “We are developing India’s most meticulously planned city within Hyderabad, known as Future City. An AI city will be part of this project. Additionally, we are establishing the Young India Skills University and the Young India Sports University, along with integrated residential schools,” he concluded.
