Hyderabad, Dec 3 (NationPress) Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy revealed on Wednesday that the state administration intends to address 40,000 job vacancies within the upcoming two-and-a-half years.

During a public gathering in Husnabad, the Chief Minister highlighted that his government had successfully hired 60,000 employees in the first year of his tenure.

As part of commemorative events for the Congress administration’s two-year anniversary, the Chief Minister visited Husnabad in Siddipet district, where he inaugurated development projects worth Rs 262 crore.

CM Revanth Reddy reflected on the significance of this day, noting that it marks the day in 2023 when the citizens overturned the rule of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi.

“Today is pivotal for two reasons: Firstly, it marks the sacrifice of Telangana martyr Srikantha Chary, who self-immolated for the cause of Telangana, and secondly, it signifies the people's rejection of the oppressive BRS regime,” he stated.

The Chief Minister asserted that the Congress government is dedicated to fulfilling the dreams of Telangana martyrs by creating job opportunities for the youth.

In a pointed critique of the former BRS administration, he remarked that the Kaleshwaram project, built at a staggering cost of Rs 1 lakh crore, failed within just three years. He claimed that the Congress-led governments have established numerous projects in the state that have withstood the test of time.

Revanth Reddy further criticized the previous BRS government for ignoring the development of the Husnabad Assembly constituency, claiming that their focus was solely on Gajwel, Siddipet, and Sircilla.

He noted that no double-bedroom houses were allocated to the underprivileged in Husnabad during the decade-long BRS rule, alleging that BRS leaders exploited the constituency’s sentiments during election campaigns.

The Chief Minister mentioned that the government has waived farm loans up to Rs 2 lakh each, alleviating the financial pressure on farmers. “Since the Congress took charge, we have invested Rs 1.40 lakh crore in farmers' welfare. Additionally, we have allocated Rs 8,000 crore for free travel for women in RTC buses,” he stated.

Enumerating his government’s initiatives, Revanth Reddy mentioned the promotion of self-help groups as owners of RTC buses, the issuance of new ration cards, and the launch of fine rice distribution. He also noted that nearly 50 lakh families are receiving 200 units of free electricity.

Expressing confidence that this “people’s government” will remain in power for a decade, he promised that 20 lakh houses would be constructed for the impoverished.

He urged the public to select capable candidates as sarpanches who can collaborate with ministers and MLAs to enhance village development.

CM Revanth Reddy paid homage to Sardar Sarvai Papanna, who fought for the empowerment of the backward community in Husnabad.

He acknowledged that the citizens of Karimnagar played a crucial role in the fight for Telangana statehood, recalling that Sonia Gandhi pledged statehood for Telangana in Karimnagar and delivered on that promise.

The Chief Minister informed the audience that he traveled directly to Husnabad from Delhi after inviting Sonia Gandhi, Mallikarjuna Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the Telangana Rising Global Summit.

Point of View

It is essential to recognize the promise of job creation by the Telangana government. The move to fill 40,000 vacancies reflects a proactive approach to addressing unemployment in the state, which has been a major concern. However, the challenge lies in execution and ensuring that these opportunities reach the youth effectively.
