Hyderabad, Jan 18 (NationPress) Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has appointed young IPS officers to enhance law and order while tackling significant public issues, particularly traffic congestion in the Greater Hyderabad.
"In line with the government's commitment to elevate civic governance, the recent transfers aim to develop enduring and effective solutions to the traffic challenges faced by city inhabitants," stated Telangana Director General of Police (DGP) B. Shivadhar Reddy on Sunday.
Dynamic and youthful IPS officers with proven field expertise have been assigned crucial traffic roles to ensure successful execution at the grassroots level.
Upon taking office, the Chief Minister mandated stringent measures to combat cybercrimes and drug trafficking within the state.
"While these efforts are being actively pursued, focused attention has now been shifted to fortifying traffic regulation and enforcement," DGP Reddy further elaborated.
The officer transfers aim to bolster the traffic management systems across the Hyderabad, Cyberabad, and Rachakonda Police Commissionerates within the boundaries of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, alongside the newly inaugurated Future City Police Commissionerate.
Officers demonstrating commendable performance as Additional Superintendents of Police (SPs) in various districts have been designated as Deputy Commissioners of Police (Traffic) in urban commissionerates.
For instance, Avinash Kumar, previously the Additional SP of Kothagudem (Operations), has been appointed DCP, Traffic-I of Hyderabad (Khairatabad and Secunderabad Zones).
Kajal, who formerly served as Utnoor Additional SP, is now DCP, Traffic-II of Hyderabad (Golconda and Jubilee Hills Zones).
S. Seshadrini Reddy, the former Jagtial Additional SP, has been assigned as DCP, Traffic-II, Cyberabad (Kukatpally and Quthbullapur Zones).
Kankanala Rahul Reddy, previously the Bhongir Additional SP, has been appointed as DCP, Traffic-I, Malkajgiri Commissionerate.
