How is Telangana Congress Preparing for the BC Declaration Success Rally?

Hyderabad, Sep 7 (NationPress) The ruling Congress party in Telangana is gearing up to gather two lakh individuals for the BC Declaration success rally scheduled in Kamareddy on September 15.

A preparatory meeting took place in the town this past Sunday, attended by five state ministers.

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President and MLC Mahesh Kumar Goud, who led the meeting, emphasized that the forthcoming rally aims to challenge the opposition parties.

It was in Kamareddy that the Congress party unveiled the BC declaration during the 2023 Assembly elections, vowing multiple benefits for Backward Classes (BCs), including 42 percent reservation.

The Congress administration asserts that it has fulfilled the declaration by enacting Bills in the Assembly to boost BC reservation in education, employment, and local governance to 42 percent.

Mahesh Kumar Goud reiterated the Congress party's dedication to granting legal protection to BC reservations. He criticized the BJP for obstructing the BC reservation Bills, claiming that the Kamareddy rally would compel the Centre to take action. “This rally will serve as an awakening for Prime Minister Modi and Amit Shah,” he remarked.

In a fierce critique of the BJP, Mahesh Kumar Goud questioned the inaction of Union Minister of State Bandi Sanjay and Nizamabad MP D. Arvind regarding BC reservation. “BJP leaders have become beggars, soliciting votes in the name of God. Every morning, Bandi Sanjay visits temples seeking votes,” he stated.

Turning his attention to the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), he stated that K. Kavitha has damaged Nizamabad's reputation as the ‘Liquor Queen.’ “The KCR family acts as a band of thieves. It’s ironic that Kavitha acknowledged their looting of the state. Had she made this claim five years ago, we would have honored her. In the upcoming elections, BRS will disappear. The conflicts within the KCR family are merely squabbles over stolen wealth,” he asserted.

He underscored that the Congress party advocates for equality. “It is through the dedication of party workers that Congress achieved power. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has revitalized Rahul Gandhi’s vision that ‘everyone deserves their fair share.’ The caste census indicates that BCs make up 56.33 percent of the population, and Congress is unwavering in its commitment to ensuring 42 percent reservations for them,” he guaranteed.

The meeting was attended by Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar, Seethakka, Konda Surekha, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, and Vakati Srihari, along with Government Advisor Mohammed Ali Shabbir, MP Suresh Shetkar, several MLAs, DCC presidents, and other leaders.
