Hyderabad, Dec 4 (NationPress) A firm controlled by the family of Telangana Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy has come under police scrutiny for purportedly attempting to seize a piece of land valued at approximately Rs 300 crore on the outskirts of Hyderabad.
Raghava Constructions, operated by Srinivas Reddy's son Harsha Reddy, has been implicated in the First Information Report (FIR) filed at Gachibowli Police Station within the Cyberabad Commissionerate.
On the night of November 30, a group of masked individuals reportedly tried to take over the land located in Vattinagulapally village, Ranga Reddy district.
About 70 men allegedly used JCBs to unlawfully occupy the land, demolishing the surrounding compound wall and attacking the landowner who attempted to intervene.
Pallavi Shah, the complainant, reported to the police that a 'Goshala' (cowshed) on the property was also vandalized.
She informed the authorities that her staff notified her about the intrusion involving four JCBs and roughly 70 masked assailants, who assaulted her employees Shiv Charan, Srinu, and Dharampal, unlawfully confining them.
The complaint highlighted that despite existing injunction orders from both the District Court and the High Court regarding the ongoing civil disputes, the group continued their destructive actions, damaging the fields and destroying a security guard's tent and equipment. The offenders purportedly invoked the name of Raghava Construction.
Individuals named in the complaint include Sudhir Shah, Avinav Shah, Akshay Shah, and Amrit Shah of New Gen Builders.
The FIR has been filed against these persons, including Prashanth and others from New Gen Builders and Raghava Constructions.
Based on her allegations, the police registered the case under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including sections for criminal trespass, voluntary causing hurt, mischief, snatching, wrongful confinement, and criminal intimidation.
However, Minister Srinivas Reddy has dismissed these allegations against his family business as unfounded, asserting that the company had no involvement in what he described as a personal dispute between two individuals.
