Telangana Native Fatally Shot at Gas Station in the United States

Hyderabad, Nov 30 (NationPress) A youth from Telangana has been fatally shot by an assailant at a gas station in Chicago, United States.
Sai Teja Nukarapu (26), originally from Khammam district, was targeted while he was working at the gas station. Reports reaching his family indicate that the assailant opened fire after stealing money.
The incident took place in the early hours of Saturday (Indian time). A friend of Sai Teja notified the family about the tragic event. The assailant managed to escape following the shooting.
Sai Teja had recently completed his BBA and had relocated to the United States just four months ago to pursue a Master’s degree at Concordia University, Wisconsin. He had been working part-time at the gas station for the past few days.
His parents, N. Koteshwar Rao and Vani, who live in Raparthi Nagar in Khammam city, were devastated upon receiving the news. He was their only son.
Madhusudan Thatha, a member of the Telangana Legislative Council, visited Sai Teja's parents to offer his condolences.
The BRS leader mentioned that Sai Teja was not on duty at the time of the attack but was assisting a friend who had stepped out for an errand.
The MLC informed media personnel that he had contacted members of the Telugu Association of North America (TANA) and requested their assistance in repatriating Sai Teja's body. The remains are anticipated to arrive in India next week.
A sense of mourning enveloped the neighborhood where Sai Teja's family resides. Numerous relatives and friends gathered at their home to comfort his parents and family members.
Locals reached out to Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, asking for his support in facilitating the return of Sai Teja's mortal remains from the United States to India.
