Hyderabad, March 13 (NationPress) The Telangana government has confirmed that there are sufficient supplies of LPG to satisfy current demand, officials reported on Friday.

In light of the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, the state administration reviewed the existing LPG stocks and assured a steady supply of cylinders to 1.29 crore consumers.

Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao conducted a thorough assessment of the LPG supply, distribution, and stock levels with representatives from oil marketing firms and officials from the Civil Supplies Department at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat.

An official statement indicated that comprehensive discussions were held regarding LPG supply throughout the state, evaluating storage capacities, transportation logistics, and anticipated future demand.

The Chief Secretary instructed officials to guarantee that there are no interruptions in the distribution of LPG cylinders to households. He emphasized the necessity for daily monitoring, prevention of black market activities, and increased police presence at distribution points.

Officials revealed that the state currently accommodates 1.29 crore domestic LPG connections, asserting that they possess adequate stocks to meet present demand. They also confirmed that LPG cylinders are being timely supplied to hospitals and government hostels.

Representatives from the oil companies and civil supplies officials reassured that consumers need not worry about the availability of LPG.

Currently, 810 LPG distributorship centers are operational across the state, ensuring timely delivery of cylinders.

The Chief Secretary urged oil marketing companies to facilitate prompt deliveries to consumers and recommended improved coordination with relevant departments to maintain consistent supply in both rural and urban regions. This meeting included representatives from HPCL, IOCL, BPCL, State Civil Supplies Commissioner Stephen Ravindra, and other high-ranking officials.

Meanwhile, Civil Supplies Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy reiterated that there is no shortage of LPG in Telangana.

Along with Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao, he conducted a video conference with District Collectors, Superintendents of Police, and Police Commissioners to assess LPG supply, summer water preparedness, and the execution of the 99-Day Praja Palana–Pragati Pranalika program.

Reddy confirmed that there is an adequate supply of cooking gas in the state and directed officials to maintain uninterrupted service to domestic users, hospitals, and government hostels.

District Collectors were instructed to combat black marketing, dispel public myths, and ensure that consumers experience no inconvenience.
